Verena Paul-Zinserling
Verena Paul-Zinserling (also Verena Zinserling-Paul ; * as Verena Krötzsch on April 5, 1942 in Zeitz ) is a German classical archaeologist .
Verena Paul-Zinserling was trained in Classical Archeology at the University of Halle in 1967 with the work Realistic Portrait Art of the Greeks. PhD Beginnings and Early Development . In 1987 the dissertation B followed at the University of Jena on the interpretation of Dionysian bowl pictures by the Jena painter, Diomedes painter and Q painter, iconological studies on Attic vase painting after 400 BCE. Paul-Zinserling taught classical archeology in Jena and headed the collection of ancient cabaret at the Chair of Classical Archeology . A highlight of this time was the organization of an exhibition on the Jena painter in 1996. In October 2007, Dennis Graen followed her on the curatorial position in Jena.
Paul-Zinserling is chairman of the association for the rescue and maintenance of the church in Schmölln .
Verena Paul-Zinserling was first married to the classical archaeologist Gerhard Zinserling , then to the classical archaeologist Eberhard Paul .
