The process mechanic for coating technology is a state-recognized training occupation in Germany under the Vocational Training Act . The training period for process mechanics for coating technology is usually three years. The training takes place at the training company and vocational school . It is a mono job without any further internal differentiation.

Process mechanics for coating technology use paints to coat surfaces made of metal , wood and plastic . Structure of the training
In the first two years of training, work preparation , such as checking workpieces for coatability, but also the pretreatment of surfaces are in the foreground of the training. In the third year of training, the control and monitoring of electrical parameters as well as the complete operation of painting systems are taught.

Only two percent of the trainees did not have a secondary school certificate
Training remuneration and earning potential
The average training allowance is between 788 euros (1st year of training) to 941 euros (3rd year of training). After completing the apprenticeship, earnings from 1,600 to 2,000 euros are possible.
