Lithuanian Constitution

The Lithuanian Constitution was introduced in 1992 and is the currently valid legal framework of the Republic of Lithuania .

The constitution of October 25, 1992, enacted by the Lithuanian Parliament (“ Aukščiausioji Taryba-Atkuriamasis Seimas ”) has been in effect since mid-autumn 1994 .

Constitutional history

The first democratic constitution of Lithuania was in the interwar period ( Lithuanian Constitution of 1922 ). The last constitution of independent Lithuania was the Lithuanian Constitution of 1938 .
