The Baden-Baden public transport company is a branch of the Baden-Baden municipal utility and operates local public transport in and around Baden-Baden . The transport companies are integrated into the Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund (KVV). The name Baden-Baden Linie was used until 2018.

business

The public transport lines run on weekdays from around 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. After that, a "call line taxi" will be introduced on most lines. The exception is line 201, which runs from 4:45 a.m. to 1:45 a.m., and line 205 between the city center, Citè and the train station. Over 8.5 million passengers are carried annually. The lines were adapted to the topographical conditions of the city, so that 95% of the passengers can get to their destination without changing trains . The most important stops are Augustaplatz, Leopoldsplatz (both in the city center) and the train station, which is 5 km outside the city center.

vehicles

The transport companies currently have 49 buses of their own (as of May 2018). Of these, 17 are articulated buses, 26 solo buses, 3 three-axle buses, 1 midibus and 2 hybrid solo buses. All buses are low-floor; The exception is the O405, which dates from 1987 and is the only car in the fleet to have a manual gearbox. In addition, buses from subcontractors and cooperation partners are used.

Scheduled services

Daytime traffic

In daytime traffic, the buses run on 13 lines. On some lines, however, only on weekends or only on school days. Reiss Reisen from Baden-Baden and Faller-Reisen from Bühl operate as subcontractors on some lines. In the evening, a "call-line taxi" runs in sections on most lines, usually with a connection to and from the 201 (more on this in the evening traffic section). Most lines run every 30 or 60 minutes, line 201 runs every 10 minutes, line 205 every 15 minutes. On most sections of the route, however, many lines overlap, so that usually 20-minute intervals are created, while on the section Stadtmitte – Weststadt (-bahnhof) a 5-minute interval.

In June 2011 cuts were made on almost all lines due to austerity measures. On lines 204, 205, 206 and 216 some early courses were canceled at the weekend. Some trips on line 216 were also canceled during the week. For lines 215 and 217 these savings measures were the end; they have been deleted without replacement. Half of all trips on line 208 were canceled. At the same time, the Rastatt district also stroked the cross-district lines, B. on Saturday afternoon on line 243 and on line 244 between Loffenau and Bad Herrenalb.

Further cuts were made in March 2012. Individual trips on lines 212 and 218 have been shortened on weekdays, while line 214 is now only run every hour in the city on Sundays. There is only a 3-hour cycle in the Rastatt district.

On April 16, 2015, the timetable for line 205 on the route section was significantly expanded.

Due to various construction work in the urban area, diversions have occurred on all lines since September 2016.

Evening traffic and call taxi (OLD)

Almost all lines close their operations in Baden-Baden around 8 p.m. After that, a call line taxi will be set up on most lines. On the weekend, line 205 runs all day between the train station and Hügelsheim as ALT. There are also four daily journeys on line 204, which commute between the Brahmsplatz and Schafberg nursing home stops. The ALT lines always end or start at a junction on line 201. The trips must be booked at least 30 minutes before the trip. The only lines that also run in the evening are lines 201 and 205 and in some cases line 285.
