In 1992 Michael Hamburger ( Suffolk ) and Jeremy Adler ( London ) complained in the literary magazine Akzente about the lack of interest by German publishers in Franz Baermann Steiner's works . That is why the publishing house Peter Guhl was founded to publish the volume of poetry In Babylons Nischen in Germany. However, the license for publication has not been granted by the rights holder Jeremy Adler to this day, but in 2000 Wallstein Verlag received a license and brought out the collected poems . The publisher's goal has only been achieved indirectly, but other authors will be published.

The main topics of the publisher are poetry , philosophy and religion . The publisher has published works by the authors Victor Dahms , Arthur Drews , Robert Kehl , Eckhart Pilick and Arno Reinfrank, among others .
