Vermont was an American emo band from Milwaukee , Wisconsin .

Band history

Vermont was founded in 1998 by Davey von Bohlen and Dan Didier, who both had already played together at The Promise Ring and now wanted to start a new, less emo-heavy project. Chris Roseneau von Pele later completed the trio.

From 1998 to 2002 Vermont released a split single with Ida , a split LP with Centro-matic and two other albums on Kindercore Records and under license from Polyvinyl Records . In addition, the band made some compilation contributions and played a long player in 2001 with Mark Mallman . In the spring of 2002 the album Calling Albany was the last Vermont release. In the same year, von Bohlen and Didier released another album with their old band The Promise Ring , which was finally dissolved at the end of 2002. Von Bohlen and Didier later founded their current band Maritime , which has its musical origins in the sound of Vermont.
