history
The label emerged from a fanzine called Polyvinyl Press , founded by siblings Matt and Darcie Lunsford in Danville, Illinois . In 1996 the Lunsford were finally persuaded by friends of the band Braid to release their single as a 7 ". That was the first release and at the same time the birth of the label. Since then, numerous emo and indie bands have been signed, some of which became too famous Sizes of the scene have evolved.
