Veronika Mayerhofer (born July 10, 1992 in Schwarzach ) is an Austrian cross-country skier .

Career

Mayerhofer competed in junior races until 2012. From 2012 to 2014 she mainly participated in the cross-country alpine cup. She came second twice and came seventh in the overall ranking in the 2012/13 season . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2013 in Val di Fiemme , she finished 11th in the relay. She ran her first World Cup race in December 2013 in Davos , which she finished with 55th place over 15 km freestyle. She got her first World Cup points in January 2014 in Szklarska Poręba with the 26th place in the 10 km mass start race. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , she finished 47th over 10 km classic and 13th in the relay. Since 2014/15 she has been participating in the US Super Tour.

So far, she has won 23 medals at Austrian championships, nine of them gold.
