The Verpeilhütte is an Alpine Club hut belonging to the Frankfurt am Main section of the German Alpine Club . It is located in the Verpeiltal, a high valley that branches off from the Kaunertal , in the Kaunergrat in the Ötztal Alps .
history
The Verpeilhütte was built from 1903, opened on July 16, 1906 and expanded in 1959/65.
Ascent
- From the village center of Feichten via road or path, walking time: 2 hours.
- From the hamlet of Unterhäuser (Gh. Jägerhof bus stop) via Steig, walking time 2 hours.
- From the Verpeilalm, 1835 m access via forest path from Feichten, 30 minutes.
