Verse is a straight-edge - hardcore band from Providence , Rhode Iceland, United States. With Have Heart and Bane they are among the pioneers and most influential bands of modern old school hardcore. Your texts are mostly written very politically but also socially critical.
history
The band, founded in 2003 as a side project of What Feed The Fire frontman Sean Murphy began their career without a singer, as Sean Murphy initially took on the role of drummer. It was only after Mike Hall joined the band that Murphy took on the role of singer. With Eric Lepine and Mark Lennon on guitars and Matt Amore on bass, the band was complete for the first EP "Four Songs".
Before Verse recorded their first LP "Rebuild", Mark Lennon was to leave the band. His part was then replaced by Brian Wilcox (Rampage), who is also active in Rhode Island. When drummer Mike left his actual band Distance , the Verse offered enough time to tour the east coast of the USA and record their debut album. After this release, the band played concerts all over the United States.
Verse announced its resolution on February 8, 2009.
On December 9, 2011, the band announced on the website of the Bridge Nine Records label that they have come together again and will go on tour in 2012.
