The Verso Corporation is an American paper manufacturer . The company primarily manufactures graphic papers and has six manufacturing facilities in the United States.

history

Verso was formed in 2006 after Apollo Global Management , the International Paper sub-class for coated papers had taken over for 1.4 billion dollars. Apollo brought the now independent paper producer to the stock exchange in 2008 through an IPO . The sharp drop in demand for catalog and magazine paper put the heavily indebted company in financial difficulties and turned the stock into a penny stock . At the beginning of 2015, the paper manufacturer NewPage was taken over. In January 2016, Verso filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy . The insolvency proceedings were ended in June 2016 after restructuring.

Production sites
