Utility service

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The supply service (VersDi) was a disaster control service (Fachdienst IX) in Germany in accordance with the federal government. In essence, it served the maintenance of operational resources and (operational) logistics. According to the law on the reorganization of civil protection (ZSNeuOG), this concept for the supply service is no longer defined by the federal government. There are individual country-specific concepts for corresponding disaster control units, such as parts of district fire brigade readiness . At the federal level, the logistics specialist groups of the technical relief organization represent successor units.

Structure and equipment

It was the only specialist service that was not set up in civil protection trains. Instead, it consisted of three different squads :

  • Material conservation team ( MatETr ) according to STAN no. 091,
  • Catering squad ( VpfTr ) according to STAN no. 092,
  • Consumables group ( VGTr ) according to STAN no. 093.

The leadership of the troops was accordingly with a troop leader ( Unterführer ).

The eight-seat station wagons carried additional materials, including five 20 liter drinking water canisters and containers for food.
