Administrative community Aschersleben / Land

In the administrative community of Aschersleben / Land im Salzlandkreis ( Saxony-Anhalt ), four municipalities were recently united to handle their administrative business.

The VG, which originally comprised four municipalities, was expanded on January 1, 2005 to include the municipalities of Drohndorf, Freckleben, Mehringen and Schackenthal from the dissolved Wippertal administrative community . On February 24, 2006 the community of Wilsleben was incorporated into the city of Aschersleben . On January 1, 2008, the communities of Mehringen , Freckleben and Drohndorf were incorporated into the city of Aschersleben.

On January 1, 2009 the administrative community was dissolved and the member communities Groß Schierstedt , Schackenthal and Westdorf incorporated into the city of Aschersleben . The administrative community had 30,021 inhabitants (December 31, 2006) on an area of ​​137.86 km². The last head of the administrative community was Andreas Michelmann.
