Westdorf is a district of the city of Aschersleben on the western edge of the Salzlandkreis in Saxony-Anhalt .
The place is located in the valley of the Eine about three kilometers south of the city of Aschersleben .
Westdorf was first mentioned in a document in 964 in a deed of gift. On September 30, 1928, the Westdorf manor district was combined with the Westdorf rural community. Until it was incorporated into Aschersleben on January 1, 2009, the community belonged to the administrative community of Aschersleben / Land, which was dissolved at the same time .
The village church of St. Georg is worth seeing . To the west of the village is the historic stone cross Westdorf .
The historian and Low German poet Caspar Abel (1676–1763) lived and died in Westdorf
