The One is a nearly 40-kilometer-long left tributary of the Wipper in Harz , in Saxony-Anhalt .

The A rises southeast of Harzgerode to 420  m above sea level. NN and flows north of the federal highway 242 to Friedrichsrode in an eastward direction. It then turns north-east into the Harz foreland and the river runs through Alterode , Welbsleben and Westdorf to Aschersleben . To the south-east of this city, the Ein flows at 93.7  m above sea level. NN in the Wipper .

One gave its name to the administrative association Wipper-Eine , which existed from January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2009.

Tributaries

The largest tributaries to the one are the Wiebeck, the Leine, the Schwennecke, the Mukarehne and the Langetalbach.
