Administrative community Bitterfeld
In the administrative community of Bitterfeld in the district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld , eight communities were united to carry out their administrative business. The VG was formed on January 1, 2005 from the formerly administrative community-free city of Bitterfeld, the community Holzweißig, the communities of the dissolved administrative community Am Strengbach and the communities Friedersdorf and Mühlbeck from the dissolved administrative community Muldestausee .
On July 1, 2007, extensive area changes came into force in Saxony-Anhalt. The town of Bitterfeld and the municipality of Holzweißig from the administrative community Bitterfeld merged with Wolfen , Greppin and Thalheim in the new city of Bitterfeld-Wolfen , which now belongs to the administrative community of Bitterfeld-Wolfen with the other six communities .
