The administrative community Bitterfeld-Wolfen was an administrative community in the district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld (Saxony-Anhalt). It was created on July 1, 2007 from the previous administrative communities Bitterfeld and Wolfen . The reason for the merger was the merger of the cities of Bitterfeld and Wolfen and the communities of Greppin , Holzweißig and Thalheim to form the new city of Bitterfeld-Wolfen .

On July 1, 2009, the communities Brehna , Glebitzsch , Petersroda and Roitzsch left the administrative community and joined the community Sandersdorf, which was renamed Sandersdorf-Brehna .

On September 1, 2009, the community of Bobbau with the districts of Bobbau and Siebenhausen was incorporated into Bitterfeld-Wolfen, which reduced the number of member communities to three.

Finally, on January 1, 2010, the communities Friedersdorf and Mühlbeck left. They joined the newly formed community of Muldestausee . The administrative community was thus dissolved.

The administrative community last had an area of ​​98.74 km² and 49,871 inhabitants (December 31, 2008).
