Administrative community Elbe-Saale
In the administrative community Elbe-Saale in the Salzlandkreis ( Saxony-Anhalt ) eleven municipalities were united to handle administrative business.
9,904 inhabitants live on an area of 152.62 km² (December 31, 2006) . The administration was located at Marktplatz 14 in 39249 Barby, the last head of the administrative community was Dietrich Heyer.
The administrative community was formed on January 1, 2005 from the municipalities of the dissolved administrative communities Elbe-Saale-Winkel and EL-SA-TA-L . On January 1, 2010, the administrative community was dissolved. With the exception of Gnadau (co-administered by Barby), the town of Barby was newly formed from the communities.
