Administrative community Oberammergau

The Oberammergau administrative community in the Upper Bavarian district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen was founded on May 1, 1978 as part of the municipal reform . The communities Oberammergau , Ettal and Unterammergau belonged to it. The seat of the administrative community was Oberammergau.

With effect from January 1, 1980, the municipality of Oberammergau was dismissed. The seat of the administrative community was relocated to Unterammergau and the name was changed to " Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Unterammergau ".
