Sangerhausen administrative community

The administrative community Sangerhausen was an administrative unit in the district of the same name in Saxony-Anhalt (Germany), in which ten municipalities were recently united to handle administrative business. On January 1, 2005, the communities of Gonna , Grillenberg , Horla , Lengefeld , Morungen , Obersdorf , Rotha and Wettelrode from the dissolved administrative community of Südharz were added to the VG Sangerhausen, which consisted of the town of the same name and the municipality of Oberröblingen . Until April 29, 2000 the community Edersleben belonged to the administrative community . She moved to the Helme administrative community .

28,785 inhabitants lived on 128.49 km² (December 31, 2004) , which corresponds to a population density of 224 inhabitants per km².

With the incorporation of the nine rural communities into the city of Sangerhausen on October 1, 2005, the VG Sangerhausen was dissolved.
