Obersdorf is a district of the city of Sangerhausen in the state of Saxony-Anhalt .

Obersdorf is located in the southern Harz north of Sangerhausen in the Gonna valley .
history
It was first mentioned in a document in 899 as Tharabesdorpf .
Until 2005 Obersdorf was a politically independent municipality. On October 1, 2005, it was incorporated into Sangerhausen.
religion
A central building is the baroque church, built between 1727 and 1729. Of the church built at that time, only the tower remained, the current dome of which dates from 1826.
