Gonna (local pronunciation: [ ˈjɔnə ]) is a district of the town of Sangerhausen on the southern Harz in the district of Mansfeld-Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt .

The place is traversed by a stream of the same name Gonna and is located around 4 km north-northeast of Sangerhausen.
history
Until 2005, Gonna was a politically independent municipality. On October 1, 2005, it was incorporated into Sangerhausen. In a register of the tithe of the Hersfeld monastery , which was created between 881 and 899, Gonna is mentioned for the first time in a document as the place of Cunnaha im Friesenfeld, which is subject to a tithing obligation . Wolfgang Kahl analyzed the period 830–850.
