Seeland administrative community
The Seeland administrative community was an administrative community in the Salzlandkreis in Saxony-Anhalt . When it was dissolved on July 15, 2009, it had a total of 9,621 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2006) on an area of 78.79 km². Their seat was in the community Nachterstedt.
history
The administrative community was formed on January 1, 2005 from the dissolved administrative community Hoym-Nachterstedt and the former administrative community-free community Gatersleben and comprised six communities and one town. On January 1, 2009, the community of Neu Königsaue was incorporated into the city of Aschersleben . On July 15, all communities except Gatersleben merged to form the new city of Zealand and the administrative community was dissolved. Gatersleben was co-administered by Seeland until September 1, 2010, when it was incorporated.
