Friedrichsaue is a district of the city of Seeland in the German state Saxony-Anhalt .
The place is on Deutsche Alleenstrasse about 18 kilometers northwest of the district town of Aschersleben . The townscape is shaped by the village church built in 1797. Until its dissolution, it was the smallest municipality in the district in terms of inhabitants.
history
The place was founded in 1753 by Frederick the Great . He gave settlers from the Rhineland their own land here in the immediate vicinity of the Seeleben monastery.
On July 15, 2009 Friedrichsaue became part of the newly founded city of Zealand. The last mayor was Matthias Witte.
