history

The beginnings of administrative jurisdiction in Brandenburg lie in Prussia in 1872. The National Socialists , however, eliminated this practically completely. Apart from the short existence of the Brandenburg Administrative Court in Potsdam between 1947 and 1952, there was no administrative jurisdiction in Brandenburg until German unification in 1990. It was not until 1993 that the state government made it organizationally independent.

Courthouse

The court was located in the “ Der Oderturm ” building complex in the city center of Frankfurt, which was built between 1968 and 1976 and is the tallest building in Brandenburg. In June 2010 it moved to the modernized courthouse on Logenstrasse .
