The Vesconte Point is a steep rock cape on the south side of Bermel Peninsula on the Bowman Coast of the West Antarctic Graham Lands . It marks the end of a southeast-facing extension of the Bowditch Crests on the northwest bank of Mobiloil Inlet .

The US geographer WLG Joerg mapped the area using aerial photographs taken by the US polar explorer Lincoln Ellsworth in 1935. The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out a geodetic survey in December 1958. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the headland in 1961 after the Italian cartographer Pietro Vesconte , who created the first postage maps at the beginning of the 14th century .
