Vesna Aleksic

Vesna Aleksić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Весна Алексић ; * 1958 in Obrenovac ) is a Serbian author for children and young people.

Life

After graduating, Aleksić worked as a school psychologist and later as a specialist advisor for kindergarten pedagogy. When it came to writing, Vesna found Aleksić by chance when she was looking for unconsumed texts for her work. Encouraged by the editor-in-chief of the daily newspaper “ Politika ”, she wrote her first children's book, “Karta za letenje” (1994). Her work comprises 25 novels and volumes of short stories. Vesna Aleksić was a participant of the Berlin International Literature Festival 2006. She lives with her family near Belgrade.
