Vester Hassing is a village in the Danish municipality of Aalborg in the Nordjylland region . It is located directly north of Langerak and 17.5 km northeast of the city of Aalborg . The place has 2525 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020).
Vester Hassing is the location of the converter station of the HVDC - Kontiskan , the oldest submarine cable connection between Scandinavia and Central Europe.
