Vetle Lid Larssen (born September 2, 1960 in Stavanger ) is a Norwegian writer and journalist .

Life

He was born in Stavanger and is the son of the Norwegian actor Lars Andreas Larssen . He published his first book in 1989 with the Mannfolk portrait collection . His debut novel 2 (My hideous brother, Uncle Harry and I , Kabel Verlag 1993) was published a year later and received a great deal of attention from reviewers and audiences. As a journalist he works for Morgenbladet , Aftenposten and Dagbladet, among others . [1] In addition, he has been a freelance reporter for the Norwegian kingdom broadcasting and television station TV 2 operates. He writes inRiksmål and has won several Norwegian journalism awards.

Among his other books are Kjærlighet før øya synker (Another life, Deutsche Verlags-Anstalt DVA 1999), Anti-Sex and Norske helter (Norwegian Heroes).

In 2013 came the documentary novel 1001 Natt (1001 Nights) - about the fate of two Norwegian slaves in North Africa, and in 2015 the self-biographical Hvordan elske en far - og overleve (How to love a father - and survive), both of which became national bestsellers.

Lid Larssen is translated into Danish, German and Italian, among others. He is currently a columnist for the Norwegian magazine A-magasinet.
