Lars Andreas Larssen

Lars Andreas Larssen (born March 27, 1935 in Melbu in Hadsel municipality , Nordland ; † January 29, 2014 in Oslo ) was a Norwegian actor and presenter .

Life

Larssen made his debut at Folketeatret in 1958 in the piece Cherrys have . He then worked at the Rogaland Teater from 1959 to 1962 , and from 1968 at the Nationalteatret . Larssen quickly established itself as one of the most important people on the central Torshovteatret where he mainly as a comedian in Dario Fo piece betaler Vi ikke raised quite a storm. He had his film role as an actor in 1957 in the film As far as the forces can ( Ni liv ), but initially only in a supporting role. Otherwise, Larssen mostly played in more or less important supporting roles in several Norwegian films.

On Norwegian television, he was best known for his role as rector in the family series Borgen skole from the NRK from 1988 to 1991. He also attracted more attention in the role as the “sage in the tower” in the competition show series Fangene på fortet , the Norwegian version of Fort Boyard , which started on TV3 in the mid-1990s .

Together with his then wife Sonja Lid , he started a peace office (Fredkontoret) in Stavanger in 1962 and then in other cities.

Larsen caused a negative sensation and critical voices when he was accused in 2004 on the TV show Team Antonsen of verbally attacking participants. In this program, he provided the candidates' successes with appropriate comments, which the majority of viewers interpreted as condescending or insulting. Because of the reactions occurred in connection to another television debate with Larssen and the moderator Kristopher actor in the show Redaksjon EN from NRK1 . Larssen was then asked in the Norwegian media to apologize publicly for this, and he and his shows were also described as out of date. At that time nobody knew about his illness.

He slowly withdrew from the public eye since the end of 2004 and appeared for the last time in 2005. In August 2007, his wife Monna Tandberg announced in the Norwegian media that Larssen had been suffering from Alzheimer's disease for a long time and that he had been experiencing the first symptoms since 2003. His wife wanted to seek understanding for her husband in public and also to promote acceptance of the general dealings with Alzheimer's patients and their relatives.

In 2008 a bust of him was erected in his hometown of Melbu and inaugurated by his sister, the politician Trude Drevland.

Larssen died in his sleep on January 29, 2014 in a nursing home in Oslo at the age of 78 from complications from his Alzheimer's disease.

Larssen was the brother of the Norwegian politician Trude Drevland . He was the father of the writer Vetle Lid Larssen and the filmmaker Gaute Lid Larssen , who came from his first marriage to the actress and writer Sonja Lid . With actress Thrine Naumann was then married and with whom he had a son, the hip-hop - rapper Lars Larssen Naumann and member of the music duo Multicyde . After divorcing Thrine Naumann, he married the actress Monna Tandberg.
