Victor Adolphe Malte-Brun

Victor Adolphe Malte-Brun (born November 25, 1816 in Paris , France , † July 13, 1889 in Marcoussis , France) was a French geographer and cartographer .

Victor Adolphe Malte-Brun's father was the founder of the Société de Géographie , the French geographer of Danish origin Conrad Malte-Brun (actually Malthe Conrad Bruun ), whom he lost at the age of ten.

In 1851 Malte-Brun became a member of the Société de Géographie and quickly rose to its general secretary.

He is buried on the Cimetière Montparnasse in Paris .
