Victor Charles Hanot
Victor Charles Hanot (* 1844 ; † October 28, 1896 ) was a French internist who specialized in hepatology . He received his doctorate in 1875 and worked at the Hôpital Saint-Antoine in Paris.
His specialty was hepatology, i.e. the study of liver diseases , e.g. B. cirrhosis and hemochromatosis . He is considered to be the first to describe primary biliary cirrhosis . His best known book is entitled Cirrhosis Hypertrophique avec ictère chronique .
