Victor Foitzick (born July 8, 1877 ; † March 9, 1952 ) was a German lawyer.

Career

Foitzick studied law at the Silesian Friedrich Wilhelms University . In 1896 he became active in the Corps Borussia Breslau . In 1897 he also joined the Corps Suevia Tübingen .

Until 1924 he was a senior judge at the Breslau Higher Regional Court . In November 1925 he was appointed senior administrative judge at the Prussian Higher Administrative Court. He retired on January 1, 1942. After the end of World War II, he was President of the Berlin Higher Administrative Court from November 19, 1945 to February 28, 1951, and also the last President of the District Administrative Court in the British Sector of Berlin from December 1, 1948 to February 28, 1951.

Victor Foitzick died in 1952 at the age of 74. He was buried in the Heerstraße cemetery in Berlin-Westend (field 8-C-53). The grave was cleared after 2005. The honor grave of the singer Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau has been located in the same place since 2012 .
