Victor Jean

Victor Jean (born November 16, 1874 in Arles , † March 19, 1953 in Rabat ) was a French politician. From 1919 to 1928 he was a member of the Chamber of Deputies under the Third French Republic .

Jean was a full-time lawyer and was already a member of the General Council of the Bouches-du-Rhône department when he ran for the National Assembly in 1919 . The radical socialist was elected with an absolute majority. He could be re-elected in 1924, but was defeated by the socialist Sixte Quenin in 1928 . Thereafter, Jean did not run again, but retired to Morocco , where he died in 1953.
