Victor Michel Heymès (also Viktor ) (born September 19, 1859 in Ueberkingen , † February 26, 1932 in Metz ) was an Alsatian Catholic pastor and politician ( center ).

education and profession

Victor Michel Heymès attended the Collège in Finstingen from 1871 to 1873 , the small seminar in Pont-à-Mousson from 1873 to 1875 and in Montigny from 1875 to 1878 . He then studied Catholic theology at the seminary in Metz from 1878 to 1882 , at the St. Sulpice seminary in Paris in 1882/83 and in Rome from 1883 to 1885 . He completed his studies with a doctorate to become a Dr. theology and was ordained a priest in 1883.

He then worked as a chaplain at the Church of Notre-Dame in Metz and from 1885 to 1893 as prefect of studies in Montigny. From 1893 to 1893 he was cathedral preacher in Metz and editor of Lorrain . On December 4, 1896, he was appointed pastor of Walscheid .

politics

In the Reichstag election in 1907 , Victor Michel Heymès ran for the Reichstag in the constituency of Saarburg-Chateau-Salin, but was defeated by Johann Labroise with 8,738 to 10,358 votes .

In the elections to the Landtag of the Reichsland Alsace-Lorraine in 1911 he was elected to the second chamber of the Landtag for the constituency Großtännchen-Saaralben, to which he belonged for the center until 1918.
