Victoria Burgoyne

Victoria Burgoyne (born April 3, 1953 in London , England ) is a British actress .

Life

Burgoyne began her career in 1972 with a minor supporting role in the British sitcom Doctor in Charge . The following year she made her feature film debut in Wolf Rilla's comedy Secrets of a Door-to-Door Salesman . After a few appearances in the 1970s, the 1980s got off to a promising start. She was seen in the horror film Death Ship at the side of George Kennedy and Richard Crenna , had a guest role in the crime series Die Profis, which is also enormously popular in German-speaking countries, and received one of the leading roles in the doctor 's Daughters series . However, only six episodes of the series were produced. In 1984 she starred alongside Tony Curtis , Donald Pleasence and Orson Welles in The Sky Machine , and in 1988 she starred in the period drama Time of Darkness by Clive Donner . The following year she had the recurring role of Vicki Rockwell in the soap opera Howards' Way .

Burgoyne also worked as Clare Keightley on a season 17 episode of the science fiction series Doctor Who , which was never completed due to a strike at the BBC . The episode with Tom Baker as the fourth doctor was also distinguished by the fact that it was written by Douglas Adams , who later modified the story as The Electric Monk published. Shada was finally released on video in 1992, the missing parts were supplemented by inserted descriptions by Tom Baker.
