Victoria Lorini

Victoria Lorini (born March 21, 1969 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German translator .

life and work

Victoria Lorini studied art history , Romance studies and classical archeology in Frankfurt am Main and Etruscology in Florence . Since 1997 she has been working with the editors of the edition under the direction of Alessandro Nova on the new German translation of Vite Giorgio Vasaris , which was published by Wagenbach-Verlag . She also works as a freelance translator of scientific and literary works from English and mainly from Italian. She lives in Rome today .

In 2017 she received the German-Italian Translation Prize for the translation of Giorgio Vasari's Vite .
