Victoria Sabetai

Victoria Sabetai is a Greek Classical Archaeologist .

Victoria Sabetai received her Bachelor degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki . She then studied at the University of Cincinnati , where she finished her master's degree in 1993 with the work The Washing Painter. A Contribution to the Wedding and Genre Iconography in the Second Half of the Fifth Century BC also her Ph.D. attained. After graduation, she also passed the examination for the Greek Antiquities Service. Then Sabetai was an archaeologist and museum curator in the Ephorate Boeotia, especially in Akraiphia . In 1996 she joined the Research Center for Antiquity at the Academy of Athens . Her research primarily for Boeotian and Attic - red-figure vase painting . In addition to her basic work on the women's bath painter, she published one volume each of the Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum for the Benaki Museum in Athens and the Archaeological Museum in Thebes . In addition, she deals with the history of her subject.
