The Vidal Rock (in Chile Islote Vidal and Islote Navegante Vidal ) is a cliff rock in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . In Discovery Bay on Greenwich Island, it rises 1.3 km west of Ferrer Point .
Participants of the 1st Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1946–1947) named him after Osvaldo Vidal, who was responsible for the echo sounder on this research trip on the frigate Iquique .
