Vidmantas Plečkaitis (born February 17, 1957 in Klaipėda , Lithuania ) is a Lithuanian marine painter, politician and former deputy mayor of Klaipėda.

Life

In 1983 Plečkaitis graduated from the Technical University of Kaunas with a degree in mechanics . In 1997 he was the director of the R. Suslavičius branch in Klaipėda and from 2000 to 2007 he was vice mayor ( vicemeras ) of Klaipėda. Since 2007 he has been secretary of the city council.

Plečkaitis was a member of the Lietuvos liberalų sąjunga party from 1993 to 2003 . In 2003 he became a member of the department and deputy chairman, and since 2006 chairman of the Lietuvos centro sąjunga party in Klaipeda. He is married and has two sons.
