history

The place was first mentioned when people from Pellheim donated a farm there to the Scheyern Monastery in 1100 , which transferred it to the Freising Monastery . In 1140 Ditricus von Pellheim donated two farms to the Scheyern monastery. The wasteland is mentioned in 1142 under the name Vihehusen. In 1232 all farms were already under the administration of the owner of the Viehhauser and belonged to Schäftlarn Monastery at the latest since the beginning of the 14th century . Since the 19th century Viehhausen has belonged to the Pellheim community , with which the town of Dachau came into being on July 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria . Between 1988 and 1990 Josef and Maria Kreitmair built a chapel in the village.
