The Vienna International Busterminal ( VIB ) is one of two national and international long-distance bus stations in the Austrian capital Vienna .

The long-distance bus station, which is located in Vienna's Erdberg district, was used by international long-distance buses such as Eurolines to connect Vienna to long-distance bus services. Since the liberalization of the long-distance bus market in Europe, the bus station has also been served by other companies such as Flixbus and ÖBB-Intercitybus.

The bus terminal is now owned by the Austrian bus company Blaguss .

In addition, there is an express bus connection from the VIB with the “Airliner” to Vienna-Schwechat Airport .

The long-distance bus station was adapted to the new requirements that arose with the liberalization of the long-distance bus market in Europe; today it has fast-service restaurants, ATMs, public toilets, lockers, heated waiting rooms and WiFi connections.

The Vienna International Bus Terminal is connected to the Vienna underground network via the Erdberg underground station, which is not far away, and to the Vienna night bus network via the N75 line. There is also a park-and-ride facility at the Erdberg underground station.

The VIB has around two million passengers a year, who are transported by a total of 45 different bus companies in 80,000 journeys.

In addition to the Vienna International Bus Terminal, there is a second long-distance bus stop in Vienna near the Ernst Happel Stadium and the Stadion subway station , the Vienna Bus Terminal .

In March 2019, it was decided to build a previously missing central bus terminal for Vienna, which will be located in the 2nd district near today's Vienna bus terminal, as the current situation at the two Vienna bus terminals and other long-distance bus stops at the main train station and the Westbahnhof Passengers turn out to be unsatisfactory and transfer passengers have to change the stop. The new, central bus terminal is expected to go into operation in 2024 after a five-year construction period.
