The four-spot butterflyfish ( Chaetodon quadrimaculatus ), also four-spot butterflyfish , lives in pairs in the Pacific from southern Japan to Hawaii and Tahiti . It only stays in shallow water less than 10 meters deep. It is not common anywhere.
The four-spotted butterflyfish is a maximum of 16 centimeters long. It mainly eats coral polyps , but can get used to substitute food in the aquarium.
