Four-way fight (gymnastics)

The four-way fight is an all-around discipline in women's gymnastics .

procedure

Presentation is performed in each case a free program on the following devices: floor exercise , balance beam , jumping and uneven bars . The judges present will evaluate the individual parts of the exercise according to their level of difficulty. The simple A-parts are followed by the medium-heavy B-parts. C parts are considered higher difficulty. If successful, D parts are rated and rated as very high and E parts are rated as very high.

Olympic games

The four-way fight replaced the Olympic eight-way fight in 1996 , in which the same equipment was used to perform compulsory and freestyle exercises. The winners so far have been Lilija Podkopajewa in 1996, Simona Amânar in 2000, Carly Patterson in 2004 and Nastia Liukin in 2008 .
