Viettel Telecom is a Vietnamese telecommunications company with headquarters in Hanoi . Viettel is owned by the Vietnamese Ministry of Defense and is one of the fastest growing wireless operators in the world and is among the top 15 telecommunications companies in terms of wireless connectivity (according to GSMA's Wireless Intelligence). In addition to Vietnam, the company is active in the following countries: Haiti , Peru , Mozambique , Cameroon , Laos , East Timor (with the subsidiary Telemor ) and Cambodia .
