action

Sadie ( Olivia Wilde ) visits Michael and Andrea Shaund on the pretext of working for a health insurance company. Instead, she beats Michael up and forces him to transfer his money and the house to his wife and disappear from her life.

Sadies attends support groups for victims of abuse. In group therapy, she tells how she “escaped” from her husband: Her husband wanted her and her little son to move out of their house and live off -grid . When Sadie tried to escape with her son, he chased her with a knife and killed her son. In flashbacks we learn that her husband disappeared after the son was murdered and that she therefore does not receive the payout from his life insurance.

She tries to find her missing husband with a map. When she returns to her motel room one evening, she notices a red spot on the map and is then ambushed by her husband. Sadie wakes up tied up, her husband ( Morgan Spector ) mocking her and welcoming her home. After a fight and chase, she overpowers and kills her husband. When the police found his body, they received the sum insured.

criticism

“Sarah Daggar-Nickson sets an exclamation mark with her psychologically complex film debut 'A Vigilante - Until the Last Breath' - at least until the unsuitable finale. And leading actress Olivia Wilde manages a truly impressive performance as an internally broken woman on a campaign of revenge. "
