Vika (also Vika Kyrkby ) is a place ( Swedish Tatort ) in the municipality of Falun in the Swedish province of Dalarna County and the historical province of Dalarna . In 2015 the place had 582 inhabitants on an area of 99 hectares.
The stone church of Vika (Vika kyrka) from 1469 is known for its wall paintings . There is an annex on the north side of the church; the church's bell tower overlooks the surrounding area.
Historically Vika Center was one named after him parish (socks), today a parish (församling).
The place is on the northern bank of the lake Vikasjön , which is connected to the Runn by the Vikasund near Vika . Around the lake - from east to west - the smaller villages Strand , Rankhyttan, Folkarbyn and Rensbyn, which also belong to the parish of Vika, are grouped.
