Viktor Aschenbrenner
Viktor Aschenbrenner (born September 1, 1904 in Aussig an der Elbe , † July 2, 1992 in Wiesbaden ) was a German expellee politician and author and editor of publications on the history of the Sudetenland and the culture of the Sudeten Germans .
Life
Aschenbrenner had been a member of Konrad Henlein's Sudeten German party in Czechoslovakia since 1937 . He was part of the management of organizations such as the Deutscher Kulturverband and Sudeten German Cultural Society in Berlin . He was also head of the Sudeten German department in the Volksbund for Germanness abroad . In 1940 he acted as a NS district guard.
After 1945 he was a full-time as Councilor of the Hessian state government operates and honorary member of the Federal Assembly of the Sudeten German Association , Chairman of the Cultural Committee of the League of Expellees and chairman of the Society for the Promotion of Central European literature . Politically, he was involved in the All-German Party , for which he ran for the German Bundestag in 1961 . In 1977 he received the Liebieg Medal from the Reichenberg home district in Augsburg .
