Viktor Mittermann

Viktor Mittermann (born September 26, 1878 in Vienna ; † July 27, 1938 in Dachau concentration camp ) was an Austrian high school professor and politician ( GDVP ). Mittermann was a member of the Lower Austria regional parliament and a regional councilor in the Lower Austrian regional government .

Life

Mittermann attended the Theresianum in Vienna and studied at the University of Vienna , where he completed his teaching degree in 1901 with the academic degree Dr. phil. completed. From 1900 he worked in the school system and found jobs in Vienna, Gablonz and from 1904 in Krems an der Donau . He also did his military service from 1916 until the end of the war.

politics

Mittermann was a member of the local council in Krems from 1908 to 1914 and held the function of chairman of the German National Association in Krems between 1914 and 1916, having previously been a member of the board. From 1911 to 1915 Mittermann was also a member of the German national state party leadership for Lower Austria. Mittermann represented the German Association from May 20, 1919 to May 11, 1921 in the Lower Austrian Landtag May 11, 1921 acted as their third president. Mittermann subsequently represented the Greater German People's Party from May 11, 1921 to May 21, 1932 in the state parliament and was again the third president from January 11, 1923 to May 20, 1927. From May 20, 1927 to May 21, 1932, Mittermann held the office of regional councilor in the Buresch II regional government . After the radical elements had prevailed in his party in 1932, Mittermann joined the Christian Social Party and was a member of the Bauernbund .
