Viktor on top
Viktor Obendrauf (born May 7, 1953 in Altneudörfl ; † August 28, 2010 ) was an Austrian chemist and chemistry didactic.
Career
From 1973 to 1977 he studied chemistry and physics at the University of Graz and graduated with a Mag. Rer. of course.
It was there that he carried out his late dissertation from 1995 and was awarded a Dr. rer. nat. PhD. Since 2003 he has been teaching at the University of Graz and from 2008 became head of the new Faculty Didactic Center for Chemistry at the University of Graz.

- 1991 "Experimental Prize" from the Association of Chemistry Teachers Austria
- 1992 winner of the "Waste-Free Chemistry Lessons" competition, Institute Dr. Flad in Stuttgart
- 1998 Friedrich Stromeyer Prize - Prize of the Society of German Chemists (GDCh)
- 2001 "Pedagogue Prize" - Prize of the Association of the Austrian Chemical Industry ( FCIO )
- 2005 Manfred and Wolfgang Flad Prize of the Society of German Chemists (GDCh)
- 2009 Award from the Chemical Society of Thailand at PACCON 2009

- since 2000 editor of the German journal " Practice of Natural Sciences - Chemistry in School " (Aulis-Verlag, Cologne)
- since 1997 Vice-President of the Association of Chemistry Teachers Austria (VCÖ)
- since 1988 textbook author ("Physics Today" or "Chemistry Today", Veritas-Verlag, Linz)
Lectures and publications
He held more than 220 lectures, seminars and workshops and published more than 140 publications from 1987 to 2009 (in: Chemistry & School, Chemistry in School, Practice of Natural Sciences-ChiS, Chemistry in Our Time, CHEMKON, Chem13-News, Chemistry Lessons, Chemistry in Laboratory and Biotechnology, Chemical Education International).
